Membership Has its Benefits!
If you are a member of AFGE, you and members of your family are eligible for scholarship assistance from AFGE and from Union Privilege. Also available to all federal employees and their childeren is the Federal Education and Asssitance Fund (FEEA) scholarship.
John N. Sturdivant (JNS) served as President of the AFGE from 1988 to 1997. He strongly believed in the role of education in empowering union members and their families to become effective leaders – in the workplace, in the union, and in the community. To celebrate John’s legacy, and to honor his commitment to building a better life for all AFGE members and their dependents, the AFGE National Executive Board has established the JNS Family Scholarship. Applications are accepted each year from January until the last Friday in March.
